By the invitation from Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), the president of Guangdong Commerce Chamber of Computer Mr. Chen and 6 other company representatives, together with EDB China chief representative Ms Yu visited Bahrain for 3 days from Dec 27 through Dec 29, 2011.
With arrangement under EDB China representative JL consulting and EDB staff, Chinese company representatives had met with EDB president Mr. Shaikh Mohammed Bin Essa Al Khalifa, EDB Chief Business Development Officer Ms. Vivian Jamal, Kuwait Finance House (KFH) CEO Mr. Abdulhakim Al Khayyat, BIW vice president Mr. Ahmed Al Qattan and other government officials. The Chinese delegation had an in-depth understanding on Bahrain's investment environment, government policy and Bahrain's China Mall development project. In the mean time, Chinese company representatives visited Bahrain's museum, capital city, Formula 1 racing venues, Bahrain business development districts and etc. Chinese company representatives were impressed by Bahrain's well developed infrastructure and friendly business environment.
Six Chinese companies from electronic, real estate, construction material, lighting and tourism industries joined this business delegation to Bahrain. Both sides had made the initial cooperation agreement and further development intention on the 10,000 square meters China City Complex development project in BIO area.
